SCHEDULE: Full Time TRAVEL REQUIRED: 0% - 5% COMPENSATION: $46,837.
00 to $95,645.
00 base salary plus potential for variable compensation.
Base pay is determined by your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Farm Credit Mid-America/Rural 1st may compensate outside of the salary range for bona fide reasons not related to membership in a protected class.
About Our Opportunity Our Account Specialist provides exceptional customer service by delivering financial services.
Customer service is defined as internal and external customer care.
Responsibilities include loan origination and delivery of credit, evaluating the portfolio to identify cross-selling opportunities and marketing campaigns for those opportunities, and continued communication with the customer during the loan approval process.
Our Account Specialist is responsible for interviewing and listening to customers who are applying for credit, servicing actions, and renewing operating loans.
This position is expected to accommodate customer needs and includes but is not limited to office coverage and serving as a backup to Financial Officer and the Customer Service roles as needed.
How You Will Spend Your Time Creates an exceptional customer experience by delivering timely and thorough service in a way that exceeds customer expectations while meeting internal deadlines.
Works with peers and customers to understand customer goals, credit strengths and weaknesses to deliver value-added information that will assist them in their farming operation.
Establishes, develops, and maintains strong customer relationships by sharing in active conversations and consistently providing exceptional customer service.
Utilizes technology effectively to serve customers.
Obtains and processes new applications, renewals, and loan servicing requests.
Interprets and evaluates financial information; asks to probing/ follow up questions to recommend the appropriate product or service.
Delivers loan decisions, talking points and conditions.
Occasional involvement in joint sales calls to enhance customer relationships.
Follows guidance in all process guides as appropriate for the role, proactively staying up to date with all association changes/ownership/accountability.
Renewal administration including requesting financial information from customers, meeting with customers, inputting financial information and adhering to targets and timelines.
Proactively evaluate the portfolio and assess customer information to cross-sell products.
Partners with Financial Officers to plan and implement marketing strategies.
Utilizes new tools and resources to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
Minimum Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Business, Marketing, Finance, or related field preferred and at least four years of experience in financial services or credit analysis.
High school diploma and at least nine years of successful experience in financial related customer service or sales, loan processing and servicing, title, or loan document review.
Mental & Physical Requirements This job requires the incumbent to have the ability to: Engage in telephone and face-to-face conversation to serve customers and give and receive information from staff, vendors, outside consultants and the public.
Use a computer and similar office technology and tools.
This involves reading the screen and keying/typing information.
Speak and make presentations to individuals or groups on technical subjects related to job.
Travel via auto or commercial transportation to carry out essential responsibilities of the job.
Successfully interact with and represent the organization to staff, officers, board members, customers, vendors, and/or the public at all levels.
Provide sound technical advice to leaders and other staff in the subject field(s) related to this position.
Understand and explain various subject matter and consulting concepts, programs, terminology and methods.
Reason, judge, compare, calculate, evaluate, decide and critique such information as written material, numerical data, responses to customer needs and/or other related work activities.
