Travel Up to 2 markets per year, and as-needed basis to dealers, vendor locations, and industry events.
Description
This position is responsible for servicing Do it Best Corp.
members in a specific sales trading area selling many key categories in Building Material.
Requires a minimum of 3-5 years of Lumber and/or Building Material experience, company experience, and/or sales experience.
Responsibilities include helping our members source and sell building material products in their markets through education, locating resources/products, negotiating pricing/programs for our pro dealer members.
Collaborating in a team to support other traders and category specialists.
Some travel to existing members, prospective members, vendor partners, and regional industry shows

Assisting our members to achieve their goals in the category of Building Materials
Increasing member sales in their market through education, resourcing product, negotiated price/program, and understanding market demands.
Displaying servant leadership with our members and with the divisional team and other associates in our organization.
Maximize the profitability of a trading area, to return the highest dividend to our members
Representing Do it Best Corp at markets and dealer locations
Attending meetings at member and/or vendor locations as required.
Staying current on market trends, skills, market pricing and product knowledge
Various projects as assigned by sales, product, or division manager.
Education and Experience
Minimum
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
Prior sales experience
LBM industry and product knowledge.
3-5 years of successful lumber and/or building materials industry sales or purchasing experience.
Industry knowledge gained through prior work experience.
Excellent communication skills
Desired
Prior LBM industry sales experience
Understanding of wholesale and distribution channels
Knowledge of Do it Best and its members.
Bachelor’s degree in business: marketing, sales, finance
