Serve as support to Student Life Fort Wayne and functions related to extra and co-curricular activities, student organizations and student engagement.
Serve as the first point of contact for students, staff and faculty, who are seeking assistance from Student Life.
Maintain good public relations and a professional image for the services, events and activities that are provided through the department.
Essential Duties: • Assists with the planning, marketing, and facilitation of student life events, meetings, and conferences including facility reservations and set-up, vendor arrangements, catering arrangements, audio-visual requests, reservation lists, attendance tracking.
• Maintain IvyLife Student Life portal.
• Creates Student Life printed and electronic materials and provides maintenance of campus bulletin boards.
• Provides ongoing administrative support for student organizations, regarding org startup, tracking, training, and travel.
• Maintains organization and inventory of student life supplies, snacks and resources.
• Answers telephone and greets visitors, transmits requested information, records messages, and routes information to appropriate personnel.
Receives incoming mail and prepares outgoing mail.
• Work collaboratively with other internal departments and faculty to market and implement appropriate programming and activities at Warsaw site.
• Maintains calendars, schedules appointments, and supports designated on-campus and virtual meetings and workshops including follow-up as needed.
• Assists office in maintenance of fitness facilities.
• Coordinates travel arrangements and reservations as needed with finance office.
Minimum Qualifications: • Must be current student in good standing with 12 credit hours accumulated Ivy Tech courses.
Must be currently enrolled for minimum of 6 credit hours.
May continue working one semester beyond end of classes.
• Intermediate computer knowledge for applications like email, word processing, internet, spreadsheets, audio visual, zoom, voicemail applications • Excellent Public and Interpersonal Communication Skills, and ability to work collaboratively as a team player.
• Self-Starter/Self-Motivation – Ability to effectively work independently with little to no supervision.
• Ability to complete projects in a timely manner.
• Understanding or ability to learn and adhere to Ivy Tech policies relating to Risk Management, Academic Standards, Finance, and Student Code of Conduct.
• Experience in event planning, organization, marketing, or visual communication a plus.
