Share the power of a smile today! We are currently seeking a Territory Manager to join our team in our Fort Wayne, IN.
In this role, the Territory Manager is responsible for a specific geographical territory's overall operation and performance.
The Territory Manager is the main link between corporate management and the territory's customers and staff.
Performance expectations include responsibilities for specific sales targets - high account retention, an annual increase in accounts, and gross revenue are required.
Primary duties include managing all salary and hourly employees in the territory; managing the territory’s budget and resources to meet company objectives.
Accountabilities: Financial Results Works with the District Manager to create a budget and business plan that aligns the territory's financial objectives with company goals Use weekly labor reports to manage labor and expenses within acceptable margins.
Work with the District Manager to determine customer pricing for products and services.
Expense and Budget Management Meet products and service charges benchmarks/budget for the territory.
Meet payroll and travel benchmarks/budget for the territory.
Meet company contribution benchmarks/budget for the territory.
Meet general operating expense benchmarks/budget for the territory.
Sales Work with the District Manager and National Sales Executive team to create and execute sales plans to achieve profitable net sales growth.
Work with the District Manager to develop presentations, proposals, bids, and RFPs.
Follow up with select previous customers and identify areas of concern and possible solutions.
Generate sales through cold calling, networking, and referrals.
Follow the Sales Process per Inter-State Studio’s SOPs and Work Instructions Ensure timely (by close of business each Friday) reporting for new and lost business for accurate sales forecast reports.
Customer Retention/Rebooking Solicit customer feedback to ensure customer expectations are met.
Meet with (in-person or virtually) current Customers 4 times a year to maintain customer relationships and follow up on product delivery and service items.
Meet rebooking goals and deadlines to ensure the territory meets set financial net growth objectives.
Ensure timely reporting of rebooking agreements by the Close of Business each Friday to ensure that the weekly Sales Forecast Report is accurate.
Staffing Responsible for the hiring development, performance reviews, and status changes of all territory employees.
Manage Job Postings and interviews for all Territory Positions Ensures the territory is adequately staffed with full-time, part-time, and seasonal staff as needed and that payroll and travel benchmarks/budgets are met.
Ensure all staff are trained and adequately prepared for their duties and responsibilities.
Provide ongoing development and seasonal performance reviews for all territory positions.
Operations Ensure proper scheduling of all photography dates to maximize the photography calendar.
Meet all Yearbook and other time-sensitive deadlines.
Use weekly reports to ensure all jobs are submitted to the plant promptly Ensure all jobs submitted to the plant are complete and production-ready.
Communicate with customers, sales management, and production staff effectively.
Follow and enforce all Company policies and procedures.
Ensure all tasks are performed according to Inter-State Studio’s SOPs and Work Instructions.
Customer Service Follow through on customer service issues promptly.
Solicit feedback from customers to ensure customers’ expectations are being met.
Review all survey results and follow up promptly.
Report any issues or changes that need to be documented for future picture days.
Handle Customer Service issues and contact the District Manager for assistance to ensure the customer is taken care of.
Follow up with prior (lost) customers to identify why they switched companies and report results to the District Manager.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in business, management, or related field; or equivalent experience.
Experience: A minimum of 2 years of industry-related sales is preferred.
A minimum of 2 years of experience supervising direct reports.
Skills: Ability to manage and influence diverse employees to achieve company goals.
Possess a high degree of problem-solving ability.
Ability to think critically and provide creative solutions.
Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to prioritize and categorize tasks according to urgency and importance.
Ability to manage salespeople and processes.
