Northeastern Rural Electric Membership Corporation is a member owned cooperative that provides electric power to over 30,000 households and businesses in Northeastern Indiana.
We are a distribution utility that purchases power from Morgan Stanley Capital Group.
Northeastern REMC is governed by a board of directors elected by members in different voting districts.
Our Member Co-op serves residential, commercial, and industrial accounts.
POSITION SUMMARY:
This is an on-site summer internship role for a Marketing Communications Intern in Columbia City, Indiana.
The role involves supporting the marketing team in day-to-day tasks, including creating and editing marketing materials, drafting press releases, assisting with strategic communications, and supporting public relations efforts.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Required: Minimum of 2 years of college in business with concentration in Marketing or a related field.
SKILLS:
• Familiar with Adobe creative cloud suite
• A detail-orientated, self-starter mentality.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic understanding of marketing principles.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
• Creativity and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment or independently

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Full-time hours, that occur regularly during business operating hours of Monday- Friday, 7:30AM-4:00PM.
Primarily working inside the office or outside the office with members at community functions.
