We are currently seeking a full-time and onsite Assistant Director of Alumni Engagement in our Office of Engagement.
This position serves as a representative for Purdue Fort Wayne and the Mastodon Alumni Community charged specifically with supporting the university’s alumni engagement program to engage alumni, current students, parents, and friends.
Primary Responsibilities:
Serve as the lead in planning and executing a variety of alumni events to engage constituents on campus and across the country.
Assist with creating and launching new alumni engagement initiatives.
Manage branded swag, gifts, alumni events, and coordination with MGOs for targeted alumni and donors.
Create and maintain survey tools, collating information, providing analysis, and supporting the strategic use of feedback to drive action and continuous improvement related to alumni engagement.
Create content for department newsletter, email blasts, social media sites, website and other relevant alumni communications.
Daily maintain of the online and social media content for the office of alumni engagement.
Identify efficient methods to increase the quality of existing alumni data and to acquire new alumni data.
This position includes working early mornings, evenings and weekends as needed.
This position requires a valid driver’s license and the ability successfully complete a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check.
Required Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree.
2 years of experience creating and running events.
Possess the discipline to work independently to structure personal activities to maximize productivity and efficiency.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs and technical aptitude.
Thorough understanding and functional usage of varied social media platforms.
The ability to present a written message in a clear, concise, interesting, and effective manner.
Possess strong verbal communication skills.
competence in developing relationships that enhance understanding, communication, and friendliness.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding, and results-oriented environment.
Ability to travel around Fort Wayne and the Midwest with occasional overnight travel.
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong computer software skills and database experience.
