We are a comedy band from Indiana looking for a singer and co-lyricist.
If you play other instruments, that's great.
Just not so much if it's guitar, we have three guitar players already.
While we are a new band, we've forming in part out of a previous comedy band myself and one of the other members were part of since 2007.
We are completely open to someone that is remote as well as long you have a semi decent recording set up.
This new band is called 'The War Cryhmes'.
While we are a genre agnostic band, we primarily are looking to operate in the 'prog-pop rock' space, so the sound is centered around like riff-based guitar, bass, drums, and keys - but within that, we're open to pretty much anything.
Our influences range from Japanese city pop, to King Crimson, to Def Leppard, to Harry Styles, to Dream Theater and Animal Collective.
We love borrowing things from everywhere.
Just as long as we can write funny lyrics to it.
We sample Looney Toons, we find a very well placed fart funny, HP Lovecraft and cosmic horror are pretty hilarious to us.
We're all in our mid-20s to very early 30s, and while we're certainly not ageist, you will probably have a similar sense of humor around that age range.
We're also open to anyone, male, female, trans, non-binary, or beyond as long as you're funny and can carry a tune.
