Job Description:
The employee in this position provides clinical therapeutic services to children, adolescents, and adults with identified mental health diagnosis.
This service is designed to meet the specific mental health needs of the identified client as they relate to their diagnosis and can be provided in-home, in-office, in-school, by telehealth or other approved/appropriate community setting.
Therapy may include psychoeducational activities/interventions designed to assist the client of the reduction of symptoms.
Services are provided with client-centered and family-centered approaches and are delivered through individualized treatment planning.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities: - Establish and build positive and trusting relationships with clients - Implements various theoretical treatments and protocols to provide guidance and appropriately address client situations - Continually assess client situations and provide the proper ongoing treatment - Educate and involve family members or other loved ones in the treatment process when necessary - Examine issues including, but not limited to, substance abuse, caregiving, bullying, anger management, careers, depression, anxiety, relationships, self-image, stress, and suicidal thoughts - Performs crisis intervention as needed; may be before or after regular working hours - Complies with and maintains all aspects of HIPAA compliance - Completes all intake paperwork, bio-psychosocial assessments, and prepares documentation including diagnostic impression(s) for HSPP and supervisor - Maintains all records including client diagnostic records, treatment plans, and progress notes in EMR, ClientTrack, and paper charts - May provide mental health counseling to students directly referred from area Catholic Schools - Provides presentations on pertinent mental health issues and preventative education in areas identified by schools and parishes - Consistently provides the highest level of service to clients, all referral sources (parishes, schools, partner agencies) and stakeholders of the agency - Functions as a positive and supportive member of the agency’s team - Effectively supports and carries out all policies and procedures, as well as decisions made by the agency’s leadership and function as a positive and supportive member of the agency’s team - Demonstrates the necessary attitudes, knowledge and skills to deliver culturally competent services and work effectively in cross-cultural situations - Participate in all required group and/or individual clinical supervision meetings, staffing and file reviews - Perform duties according to the 1) ethical and professional standards, and policies of Catholic Charities; 2) ethics of chosen field of study; 3) values and tenets of Catholic Social Teaching Qualifications: - Master’s degree required - Must be eligible for and working towards LMHC licensure in state of Indiana.
Full licensure preferred.
- Preference given to a bilingual candidate in Spanish and English - Preference given to a candidate that possess familiarity with and demonstrate respect for the Catholic faith traditions, Catholic Social Teaching, and possess a dedication to advancing our Catholic mission - Ability to work independently and effectively to provide services with limited supervision - Must be able to work flexible hours as needed (e.

) and travel within the Diocese counties, as required Skills: - Knowledge of human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests; learning and motivation; and the assessment and treatment of behavioral and affective disorders - Knowledge of principles, methods, and procedures for diagnosis and treatment - Excellent written and oral communication skills - Computer literacy in Microsoft Office 365 Conditions Of Employment: - Have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
