Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the nursing department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to residents
- Develop and implement resident care policies and procedures in accordance with state and federal regulations
- Create and update care plans for residents, ensuring individualized care and treatment goals are met
- Manage and coordinate nursing staff, including hiring, training, and evaluating performance
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless coordination of care for residents
- Monitor and maintain accurate medical records and documentation
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and licensing requirements
- Advocate for resident rights and promote a culture of resident-centered care
Requirements:
- Valid nursing license (RN or LPN)
- Proven experience in a nursing leadership role, preferably in a long-term care or assisted living setting
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and best practices
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Knowledge of physiology and age-related health conditions
- Understanding of home care regulations and requirements
