The Hospital Rounding Nurse serves as an extender to the Ortho Northeast physicians at hospitals and the office to provide quality care to patients and serves as a liaison between patients, physicians, hospital personnel, office personnel, and other parties responsible for providing patient care.
Essential Functions:
* Makes rounds with physicians as needed, assesses wounds, enter orders, review and adjust discharge plans according to physician protocols.
* Informs physicians and advanced practitioners regarding patients in the Emergency Room.
Communicates and interprets physician instructions to hospital staff, patients, therapists and other patient care personnel as needed.
* Receives and responds to telephone calls from patients, physicians, hospital staff, insurance companies, office staff, etc.
* Works to provide support and information to providers while, at the same time, maintaining an awareness of their schedules.

Schedule:
* (3) 12 hour shifts Monday through Friday.
4:30am-4:30pm
Education:
* Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required.
* State of Indiana licensure as a Registered Nurse required.
Knowledge Required/Desired:
* Knowledge of professional nursing theory and practice.
* Current CPR/AED certificate required.
Experience:
* Hospital and/or medical office nursing experience required.
* Previous inpatient care desired.
* Orthopaedic nursing experience desired.
