Behavioral Health Technician

Fort Wayne Recovery is a quickly growing outpatient substance abuse treatment facility.
We are expanding our operations and are looking for reliable, trainable & motivated individuals with a passion for recovery to join our team.
_*We are currently looking to fill a Sunday-Thursday, 11pm-7am shift.

Primary responsibilities include: * Assist in supervision of client activities and be aware of client whereabouts at all times.
* Escorts clients on outside trips, recreation, transport clients to recovery meetings, medical appointments, etc.
* Assist the clinical staff by providing ongoing recovery and 12-step support.
* Ensure and monitor the safety, upkeep and maintenance of the treatment facility.
* Report all daily events through the systems of reporting.
* Keep neat, written logs on clients’ activities.
* Observe clients' random drug screens.
* Answer client questions, concerns and complaints or direct to the attention of the appropriate clinical and/or administrative staff at FWR.
* Remind, redirect, reprimand and report clients that break rules or regulations according to the guidelines of FWR.
* Maintain order and ensure compliance with rules and regulations; ensures that clients conduct themselves in an orderly manner.
* Monitor and document clients for signs of medical distress and/or behavioral conduct on an on-going basis.
* Provide appropriate support and structure for clients in dealing with their recovery.
* Respond appropriately to all medical and other emergencies.
Education and Qualifications: * High school diploma or GED.
* Valid Driver's License and clean driving record.
* CPR Certified or willing to obtain within 6 months.
* Effective verbal and written communication skills.
* Familiarity of HIPAA confidentiality.
* Has a working knowledge of substance abuse recovery.
