Patient Care Tech Surgery

Schedule: Full-time, benefit eligible, 36 hours per week Under the supervision of the Surgical Services Specialist or Surgery Charge Nurse, transports patients to and from various hospital area.
Supports the patient care team in routine patient care services, as required.
Minimal Acceptable Job Qualifications Licensure: BCLS within 30 days of hire SAMA Level 1 within 30 days of hire Education: High school diploma or its equivalent.
Other: Demonstrates working knowledge of hospital service theme.
Demonstrates use of the English language both verbal and written.
Demonstrates basic understanding of patient transportation and other attending needs of patient in a surgical unit.
Requires basic understanding of the related behaviors, needs, and comfort appropriate to the age (including pediatric, adolescent, adult & geriatric) and diagnosis of patient served to support the provision of an individualized multidisciplinary plan of care.
Demonstrates well developed interpersonal and communication skills necessary to interact effectively with all internal and external unit customers, as needed.
