Infection Preventionist, RN

Responsibilities: - Develop and implement infection prevention and control policies and procedures - Conduct regular audits to assess compliance with infection prevention protocols - Provide education and training to staff on infection prevention practices - Investigate and report any outbreaks or clusters of infections - Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop strategies for preventing healthcare-associated infections - Stay up-to-date with the latest research and guidelines in infection prevention - Monitor and analyze infection data to identify trends and areas for improvement - Participate in the development of infection prevention initiatives and programs Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in nursing or a related field - Certification in Infection Control (CIC) preferred - Experience working in an acute care hospital or assisted living facility - Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology - Familiarity with aseptic technique and infection control principles - Excellent leadership and communication skills - Proficient in analyzing medical records and data - Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to infection prevention As an Infection Preventionist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety of patients, staff, and visitors by implementing effective infection prevention measures.
