Our company is in need of an experienced office professional willi g to quickly learn Legal Assisting in our small but growing Law Office focusing mainly on Elder Law and Medicaid Planning.
WT ideal candidate will be eager to learn and focused on long term growth.
This person will be detail oriented and naturally possess a self motivated work ethic.
The successful candidate will have experience in a fast-paced environment, be a quick thinker, have good verbal phone skills, be a self starter and self motivated, be familiar [or learn quickly] with software programs such as Word, Excel, Clio Legal, and Outlook.
Learning new office/legal terminology, making phone calls, and communicating in writing with ease are a must.
The ideal candidate for this position has a strong understanding of business procedures, scanning, emailing, and organizing as well as effective interpersonal skills.
This position requires a competent individual with a good eye for details and the commitment to be reliable and efficient.
Responsibilities:
* Provide general administrative support with respect to the needs of the attorneys and the senior paralegal.
* Perform administrative duties in an office setting, including preparing correspondence, emails, calls, faxes, and documents, taking and distributing telephone calls, filing documents and other materials, scheduling appointments, and working with databases.
* Help attorneys prepare for appointments by arranging documentation, identifying client needs and doing client research.
* Handle initial client contact both in person, on virtual meetings, and on the phone.
* Schedule meetings.
* Manage attorneys' calendars and organize meetings.
* Answer phones.
* Track time spent on cases for billing purposes.
* Perform a variety of clerical tasks that support the attorneys' daily operations.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.
00 - $17.
00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
* 8 hour shift
* Day shift
* Monday to Friday
