Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Deputy Clerk in the Court's Clerk Office.
As a Deputy Clerk, you will play a crucial role in supporting the operations of the court system.
This position requires strong administrative and organizational skills, as well as the ability to provide excellent customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Provides exceptional customer service at the counter, through email or by telephone; collects any costs or fees required; receipts collected monies
- Docket information from court filings in an accurate and timely manner; enter information in the court's case management system.
- Process accurate and presentable correspondence, documents, reports, records, and forms utilizing various office equipment.
- Completes forms such as notices, summons, subpoenas for service.
- Scan documents into case management system while verifying the legibility of the records.
- Assists co-workers with office tasks.
- Attends training and staff meetings
Requirements:
- Associate degree or combination of education, experience, and training which provides the required knowledge.
- Knowledge of legal terminology and court procedures is a plus.
- Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse individuals.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
Ability to speak Spanish is preferred but not necessary.
