Early Childhood Alliance (ECA) is a non-profit organization with a mission to build better futures for young children by?promoting and providing excellence?in early childhood care and education.
Children under our care range from 6 weeks to preschool age.
We have 2 learning centers in Fort Wayne, one on Wayne St.
and the 2nd on Beacon St.
We also have a childcare home setting in Warsaw.
In addition to the learning centers, we offer Shared Services to various childcare homes, centers, and ministries.
We are also a sponsor of the federal food program throughout Indiana.
The Child and Adult Care Food program (CACFP) is a federally funded program that provides payments for eligible meals to participants who meet age and income requirements.
The CACFP Monitor administers the CACFP program, following CACFP guidelines, plans and completes unscheduled visits to participating childcare programs, reviews required provider participation records as needed or requested, offers technical assistance and participates in provider trainings.
Duties may be performed in various settings including childcare centers, ministries, and family childcare.
Ability to communicate face to face, on the phone and in writing is required.
Work may require light to moderate lifting.
CACFP Monitor performs duties according to the CACFP guidelines and agency policies to ensure that program goals and objectives are met.
Employee required to handle a variety of tasks in order to effectively implement the program.
CACFP Monitor maintains frequent contact with CACFP providers, and agency staff.
Travel to counties in Northern and Central Indiana required.
Duties
Monitors participating homes, centers and/or ministries, on schedule, as set by CACFP guidelines.
Reviews menus, monthly attendance, participation records, and other documentation needed.
Provide technical assistance to CACFP providers to ensure program compliance.
Attends and assists with training and meetings to develop and maintain contact with providers.
Assists in maintaining program documentation and records following CACFP guidelines.
Requirements
Reliable transportation in order to travel throughout Northern and Central Indiana
Strong computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft applications
CACFP Experience
Basic knowledge of childhood nutrition in family childcare homes, centers and ministries.
Nice To Haves
Knowledge of CACFP program software.
Associate degree in business, Food Management, Early Childhood or its equivalent
Bilingual in English/Spanish.
