* Caregivers shall have had training specifically related to infant/toddler development.
* The director shall assign a primary caregiver for each infant and toddler.
* The caregiver must maintain a daily record chart for each infant/toddler.
* Caregiver shall
* Greet the toddler and their parent as they arrive
* Help the child separate from the parent and become part of a small group or the activities in progress
* Provide regular hugs and affection
* Engage in many one-to-one face conversations
* Let toddlers initiate language, even from children whose language is limited
* Name objects, describe events, and reflect feelings to help children learn new words
* Respect toddlers desire to carry favored objects around the room with them, to move objects like household items from one place to another, to roam around, and to parallel play with toys and objects
* Use a towel or pad to drape on shoulder to create a barrier for EACH infant
* Help children to feel increasingly competent and in control with themselves
* Permit toddlers to explore and manipulate a variety of art media
* Caregiver shall adapt and assume any other duties as requested by the center owners and director to meet the needs of the center
* Caregiver shall follow all of the Indiana State Licensing Regulations.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.
