JAM Play (Childcare Staff)

*Description* This position is responsible for providing safe and enjoyable childcare for members and their children.
Maintain visual and auditory supervision at all times.
The JAM Play Childcare Staff must be responsible for the safety and well-being of each child under their supervision and maintain a creative and playful atmosphere for all participants.
*Duties and Availability* * Maintains a neat and organized JAM Play area.
* Actively supervises and participates in activities with all children.
* Upholds all JAM Center policies, procedures, standards and code of conduct.
* Treats all children with dignity and respect.
* Communicates all suggestions, incidents and feedback to supervisor.
* Uses appropriate forms of redirection.
* Greets and informs parents and children.
* Respects confidentiality when discussing issues concerning children.
* Cleaning and maintaining of the JAM Center when there are no children in JAM Play.
*Requirements and Qualifications* * JAM Play Childcare Staff are required to be a minimum of 16 years of age.
* Have a positive attitude and follows directions.
* Relates to children, members and other staff in a positive manner.
* Ability to plan and initiate age appropriate games and activities.
* Extraordinary interpersonal communication and the ability to interact well with the public is a must.
* Currently certified in CPR, or be certified within 6 months of hire (when class is offered).
* First Aid/AED certified upon hire.
* Abuse and Neglect training upon hire.
